Contraindication
Although Dang Gui Shao Yao San is formulated for pregnant women, it includes the herb chuan xiong, which should be used with caution in pregnacy, especially with mothers with KD Deficiency.
Indications
Abdominal pain due to Liver-Spleen disharmony. The pain is continuous and cramping but not severe. There is also urinary difficulty and slight edema of the lower limbs. The Jin Gui Yao Lue notes that this pattern occurs during pregnancy.
