EA has updated Madden 22's rosters for Week 3 to match the results of Week 2. There was nothing shocking during this week's update, however some notable players have seen a boost in their ratings.
Most notable was the two-point rise in Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski's overall rating. In just two months, he's gone from an overall launch rating of 85 to an overall score of 89. He's certainly deserving of this. Gronk has already recorded 12 receptions while netting 4 touchdowns and 129 yards in the span of two weeks. He's playing at his best for the first week of the year, and something tells me this won't be the last of his ratings increases.
Tyrann Mathieu Kansas City Chiefs safety is another well-known name whose popularity has seen his ratings climb. Mathieu had to miss Week 1 due a positive COVID testing the season's first game on Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. What a start it was as Honey Badger recording two interceptions one of which resulted in scoring. Mathieu's Awareness rating and catch rate increased by one point, at 99 and 85, respectively. His overall score is now the 96th spot.
The Titans running back Derrick Henry had his ratings increased following a great performance against the Seattle Seahawks. However, Derrick Henry remains at a 96 overall. Henry's rating at the start of his career caught many by surprise , as the majority of fans believe that he's top running back in the NFL. With 182 rushing yards during Week 2, and three touchdowns, he definitely proved his worth. Henry's catch increased to two points to 64, but his break tackle lost three points to get to 95.
One player worth keeping an eye on is Carolina Panthers half back Christian McCaffrey who was injured with injuries to his hamstrings in the game on Thursday night against the Houston Texans. Although injuries don't typically influence the ratings of players in Madden It will be interesting to test if Henry will replace him as the top back in Madden 22.
