The Yard was first introduced in Madden 21 and it's returning this year with a few changes. The version for this year will have new locations as well as a brand new ranking mode.
EA Sports has enhanced what was once called Superstar Mode into Face of the Franchise. Although I was disappointed by Madden 21's Face of the Franchise's performance, EA Sports promised "more customization" for this year's edition. This may help improve it.
At first, Face of the Franchise was driven by a quarterback, but EA Sports is allowing users to play as quarterbacks, running back, wide receiver or a linebacker in Madden 22. There are flashbacks of college games, take part in the NFL Draft, and then take on every game of your rookie season.
EA Sports also included an "all-new Player Cl**** and Progress system." It lets you pick your strengths, ratings and other unique traits with additional options for customization that allow you to make your avatar."
