Since the skilled person does not fight, there's no reason to be concerned. Keys are usually held by someone other that the person who is skilled, therefore there is no need to worry about the keys. Learning abilities in the dung is free. Appreciated in a party for lowering the mobs combat level.
My only concerns about being a competent player is: Unable to solo dungs. I have not used the tome or gravy rewards. But this is only one experience. What are your experiences as a skilled player in dungeons that are f2p? They're more useful to players, however the advantages I've mentioned above suggest that being a skilled player is a very carefree role in dunging.
There are many merchanting groups out there that rely on chat rooms to influence prices. This can be an issue because these chat rooms are only used by the creators and not by anyone else.
