The decision I'm a fan of much less. The problem isn't with the person here, it's the fact that he signed the running back to a free agent contract that exceeds his earnings. Edmonds is a good all-purpose running back however nothing exceptional.
I'm not aware of previously the Cardinals RB among the top five rushers in the market, and I'm sure his work could have been brought up at the time of the draft. I would rather seen the Dolphins spend more money on players with tremendous potential like Rashaad Penny, rather than giving Edmonds more than $6 million per year.
I really, truly like this move due the significance it will mean for the rest of Cincinnati's free-agent. My fear was the team would make use of its massive amount of allowance to sign a couple of top players, and not adopt a holistic policy towards the market.
Cappa who was the former Buccaneers guard, is a solid value at just $10 million for his level of production. He's an enormous upgrade for the offensive line, which has to be re-worked to help Joe Burrow, and I love that he's not eating too much cap space, which means will tie the Bengals to their hands.
If these type of deals continue and the Bengals can sign smart players at positions of need , but not blowing their whole budget, the Bengals are going to be even more frightening in 2022.
Don't get me wrong: Michael Gallup is a really solid player. The guy is also (by all accounts) an excellent locker room mate and a beloved member within the organization. But from an athletic standpoint, this feels like a huge inefficient use of the limited available cap available space Dallas is already able to use.
Gallup is struggling to regain the production from his 1.100 yards in 2019. slowing down in every one of the past two seasons. Much of this was an injury-shortened 2021 that saw him end year on IR However, cutting Amari Cooper for cap reasons before turning around and signing Gallup with almost the same price feels like hope, but it's not really a plan.

Madden NFL 23 that's telling us there's no business done but he actually would like to stay in a secluded house because it's more relaxing than the afterlife.
