One or two weeks away, more developers and publishers confirm that they will be attending the event that will feature new trailers for their upcoming projects. Diablo 4 is one of the games that many insiders think will be included in The Game Awards 2022, and it appears that the predictions were not a waste of time.
With every passing day it's becoming more likely that we're going to be receiving an announcement that is major Diablo 4 announcement. And, considering that The Game Awards is now only a few days away the announcement might just happen at the event. While there hasn't been any official word about this from Blizzard However, numerous sources appear to be extremely confident regarding this.
Based on Insider Gaming, "this is not changing, with over 100 journalists being given the chance to experience the inside of the game in addition to having the chance to experience hands-on with the game. It's believed that the embargo to the game and hands-on demonstrations will be lifted on December 7.
"During the show, Rod Fergusson invited all of the attendees to watch The Game Awards as they'll make some announcements."Blizzard have confirmed Diablo 4 is still getting Set Items, though you'll probably have to wait until after launch to use them in-game.
Game director Joe Shely explains during a recent roundtable interview that reimaging sets in a way which is suitable for Diablo 4 properly wouldn't be feasible for the launch of Diablo 4 in the first quarter of next year. However, the team is looking at making them part of Live service.
"As we've been building the game, we thought that we could build sets in a completely new approach to the ones we've experienced during Diablo 3. However, we'd like additional time to incorporate sets into the game in an approach that works seamlessly with the rest of Diablo 4, so you aren't going to see sets right away in the game," Shely explains. "We think sets are interesting, and we'd like to get them right, which is why we're taking a look in the future for our live-stream service."
