When the time is right, Microsoft will remove the Windows Classic Start button from the taskbar.
Deputy General Manager for Windows Program Management, Chris Capossela, has hinted on Windows blog that Windows 8 or Windows 10 will go back to the prior start menu function, with a classic start button. Though, he is pretty sure that Windows is NOT going to become a free OS.
