Looking toward the future, the plan is to discontinue crates approximately six months after their initial launch. This should make it easier for players to know roughly when they can expect a crate to be eliminated from the drop system. The developers have also said they'll be announcing well in advance when crates will be retired.Psyonix has promised more details regarding this big update will be revealed at the Rocket League Championship Series Season Three World Championship, which will be held on June 2nd-4th.
