Like the original game, geometry dash just requires one button to play. The player can choose between using the spacebar or the left mouse button to control the character. The goal of each stage is to get the protagonist to the exit without letting them collide with any hazards. This includes barriers, spikes, and anything else that can raise suspicion. If you are hesitant, you shouldn't worry about running into them; the worst that may happen is having to restart the level, which you have probably done many times already.
