Relapse Prevention - A Focus of 1st Stone Program

Dive into the crucial aspects covered by the 1st Stone Support Group, including Relapse Prevention, Choices, and Emotional Stability.

At the age of 24, Pastor Rick underwent a transformative experience while immersing himself in the heavy metal sounds of Metallica back in September 1994. Recognizing the imperative to abandon his former lifestyle, he embraced purpose, spiritual values, and faith. This second chance sparked a powerful momentum, propelling Pastor Rick on a journey to uplift those ensnared in destructive cycles.

Amidst these challenging times, Pastor Rick confidently assumes the role of a servant leader, equipping others both locally and internationally. Serving as the Pastor of Iglesia Crosspoint, a bilingual church in Bellaire, Texas, and as a StaffEvangelist at West University Baptist Church, he is also a certified Life Coach and Spiritual Motivator accredited by John Maxwell. Beyond just teaching, Pastor Rick embodies the values he imparts.

The 1st Stone Recovery Support Group stands as a robust 12-week life intervention program. It delivers impactful content designed to transform thinking, incite action, and foster purpose among young individuals, parents, and those entrenched in destructive cycles. This Support Group boldly challenges participants to transcend the boundaries of addictive behaviors and emotional turmoil, guiding them towards a purpose-driven existence.

Encompassing crucial topics like Relapse Prevention, Attitude, Choices, Emotional Stability, Recovery Support, the 4 Pillars (King/Queen, Warrior, Mentor, Friend), and Spiritual Foundation, the 1st Stone Recovery Support Group accepts referrals from state institutions, courts, and the community. Each referral undergoes a meticulous case-by-case evaluation. Successful graduates receive a certificate of completion, and this valuable service is provided free of charge for every student accepted into the program. Upon graduation, each 1st Stone graduate is confidently assigned a mentor for 6 months to facilitate the application of acquired knowledge in real-life scenarios. All classes are conducted in person and exclusively in the Spanish language.
