Chandigarh University or CU as it is commonly known, is a privately owned university situated in Punjab. The university has received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and an A+ grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college has a vast campus of more than 250 acres which comprises of satellite ground station and a research centre.
The college offers courses in various subjects such as Mchine learning, Engineering, Arts etc. After its establishment in 2012, the college has gained immense recognition and popularity in North India owing to its academic performance. The university is well-known and regarded for its better placement opportunities. The placement cell organizes annual placement drives in which a large number of students take part. As per their official website, a total of 900 recruiters from all around the country took part and 9,124 students were part of the 2023-2024 placement drive. This was the highest number achieved by any college in northern India.
The placement stats of Chandigarh University have improved significantly over the past few years. There has been an increase of 30% in the number of placements provided to its students. In the 2023-2024 session, the highest domestic package was ₹54.75 lakhs and the highest international package reached ₹1.7 Crore. Over 10 companies offered a package of INR 25 LPA to the students. The numbers stated above clearly reflect the fact that the University lays huge emphasis on the placement performance. As a result, top recruiters continue to hire students from the university in different sectors such as Banking, E-commerce, Marketing, Sales, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) etc. Some of the top recruiters coming for campus placements are Microsoft, IBM, Google, Adobe, Qualcomm, Philips, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley etc.
The highest package offered to the students of the MBA program was 28 lakhs. The highest package was provided by Atlassian which amounted to 40 Lacs.
