On August 14, 2018 the company announced that they have adopted on the OpenAPI Specification (OAS) for every one of our public RESTful APIs. APIs are described in both 2.0 as well as 3.0 version of OAS. Through OpenAPI developers can install the eBay OpenAPI contract, generate clients with one of the forty+ supported programming languages and then successfully call the eBay API within minutes.
The OpenAPI-based contract was featured in eBay Connect, our developer conference. The demos were well-received by third-party developers who are our partners. The results show that the integrations of our partners with our APIs have been streamlined, with a the benefit of a significantly shorter time-to-market. Apart from serving as the Rosetta stone in the API world and assisting with the development of APIs, OAS is a great tool for developers. OAS is definitely helping to increase the efficiency of developers and their productivity. eBay customer service | eBay help
