Gear Build for PVE-Only Players
This build is unsuitable for PVP, as it lacks hit chance and evasion stats, which are crucial in competitive play. The PVE build emphasizes high damage, cooldown reduction, heavy attack chance, and high critical chance.
Gear Details:
- 11 out of 13 items in this build can be acquired through dungeons, open-world farming, and crafting chests with guaranteed drops.
- The only two gear pieces exclusive to open-world bosses are the Shadow Harvester Helmet and Belt of Blood Lust.
To easily locate where each item drops, click on the gear item in the crafting menu and select "how to acquire" for details on drop locations.
Stat Allocation:
- 50 Perception for extra range
- 50 Strength for heavy attack chance
- 40 Dexterity for critical chance
- 30 Wisdom for maximum mana
The primary weapons for this build are the CarX Bow and Luu's Dagger. Full details on the weapon mastery, skill build, and trait allocation can be found in the Quest Log link from the original guide.
Longbow Dagger PVE Rotation
Skill Specialization:
- Dagger Specialization
- Longbow Specialization
- Active and Passive Skills
Rotation Combos:
The rotation consists of two main combos for boss fights.
1. Combo 1: Deadly Marker > Snaring Arrow > Decisive Sniping
- These three skills are essential and should always be used together once they come off cooldown.
2. Combo 2: Lightning Infusion > Strafing (with Thunder Stacks) > Fatal Stigma > Zephyr
- After dashing, follow with Shadow Strike for burst damage, utilizing Moonlight Thundercloud Bombing before retreating to range.
When your Decisive Sniping combo is off cooldown, return to it. If it's not ready, use Flashwave as a filler. Flashwave is also an AOE heal, great for emergencies.
Rotation Notes:
- Tier 2 gear provides enough cooldown reduction and attack speed to make the rotation fluid. However, Tier 1 players may struggle with timing, so do not worry if you miss a rotation; bosses can interrupt your cooldowns.
AOE Farming Build
For AOE farming, the build revolves around poison stacks to maximize damage across multiple enemies.
Longbow Specialization:
- Focus on AOE skills like Tornado for crowd control, Strafing, Decisive Sniping, and Flashwave.
- Pair these skills with Nature’s Blessing and Brutal Arrow for extra damage and utility.
Dagger Specialization:
- Cleaving Moonlight and Brutal Incision focus on increased damage to poisoned targets.
- Inject Venom is key to maintaining poison stacks for continuous damage.
In this build, you’ll gather enemies, activate poison, and use AOE skills to deal heavy damage.
Passive Skills:
- Assassin Step for infinite mana regeneration.
- Healing and Recovery boosts for self-healing during long AOE pulls.
PVP Gear Build and Strategy
Large Scale PVP Tips:
For large-scale PVP, the gear and skill builds require significant adaptation due to the unpredictable nature of enemy players.
Key Combos in PVP:
- Start with Snaring Arrow to slow enemies, then use Strafing to apply Thunder Stacks. Follow up with Zephyr for speed and mobility.
- Engage in close-range combat using Shadow Strike, but always retreat to a safe distance once your rotation ends.
Adaptability:
In PVP, no static rotation will work, as enemy players will constantly be on the move. This means you must adapt your build based on your enemies:
- Against melee classes, use more defensive skills and range attacks.
- Against squishy ranged targets, go for melee bursts with your dagger.
Large-Scale PVP Strategy
When participating in large PVP events like Castle Sieges or Riftstone Battles, your main goal as a LongbowDagger player is to position yourself at the back of your group and survive while dishing out damage.
PVP Skill Build:
- Use Flashwave Blitz Stealth combos for maximum burst damage, especially in large groups.
- Tornado should be saved for counter-engaging, not initiating. It's best used when your group is losing ground.
Dealing with Tanks:
Avoid wasting cooldowns on tanks, as they require a group effort to kill. Bind them with Snaring Arrow and move past them towards squishier DPS targets.
