How to Easily Share Photos, Music, and More in iOS 15 and iPad 15

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

When you visit an interesting website, take a memorable photo, discover an interesting piece of news, or listen to a great podcast episode, or record your favorite sound with https://apps.apple.com/us/app/call-recorder-icall/id1447098963, you can share it with others on your iPhone or iPad for a long time. However, using shared content has always been a bit of a challenge. For example, if someone sends you an item in a text message, you need to go back to the original message and find the link.

The good news is this: this challenge has been removed for certain apps thanks to iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.

Now when someone shares something with you, it's also available in the related app. So when someone shares a photo with you, it will appear in the Photos app. When someone shares a podcast episode with you, it appears in the Podcasts app. This new option shared with you also supports news, music, TV shows, and websites.

Learn how to share content with other people on your iPhone or iPad and access content shared with you.

Turn on automatic sharing

First, update your iPhone or iPad to iOS/iPadOS 15 or later if you haven't already. Go to Settings General Software Update. You will be told that iOS is up to date or prompted to download and install the latest update.

Then you want to enable automatic sharing with the Messages app and select the apps where you want to see the shared content. Go to Settings Messages Shared with you. Turn on the switch next to Automatic Sharing if it is not already on. Then turn on the switch for each application whose shared items you want to see.

Now that you're ready to share, let's look at sharing specific items from different apps and using content shared with you.

Share an album or song

Let's start with music. Users can share an album, song, or playlist from the Music app. If you're a subscriber, open your collection or Apple Music. Select the album or song you want to share. Tap the ellipsis icon next to it and choose Share album or Share song. In the Share window, select the person you want to share the item with as a text message, or tap Messages and address your text to the person.

Share a TV show or movie

To watch TV or movies, open the Apple TV app. Select the show or movie you want to share, then press the Share button and select a recipient.

Sharing a webpage

Open Safari and find the webpage you want to share. Tap the Share icon and select the person you want to share the page with.

Share a photo or video

Open the Photos app and select the photos or videos you want to share. Tap the Share icon to send the selection to another person as a text message.

Share a podcast or episode

You can share a podcast in the Podcasts app. Select a podcast or specific episode, then click the ellipsis in the upper right corner. Select Share Presentation to share the entire presentation. If you want to share just one episode, select Share Episode. From there, share the item with the correct recipient.
